Corruption is a serious problem, growing underdevelopment has galvanized to integrated and coordinated combat against Corruption. Corruption is a highly complex phenomenon but it is generally agreed that at the core of the problem lies some form of abuse of power. A generic conceptualization could be the abuse of Public office for direct or indirect personal gains.

Corruption and Underdevelopment
- It is no mystery that underdevelopment and high degrees of corruption are highly correlated.
There are causal links between the two and most likely these are bi-directional. Corruption is endogenous in most systems and clearly reflect the dominant cultural traits.
